Mya Awai
Mya grew up on Vancouver's North Shore and made the move to Maui in 1993 to attend UHMC.
Her first home on Maui was in Makawao; and now 30 years later, works only minutes away.
Mya comes from a real estate family, where she started working in property management after college.
Leasing apartments on Maui introduced her to radio advertising, which she took a major interest in. So, she decided to pursue broadcasting.
Her passion for copywriting/marketing led to a successful career in national daytime television back home in Vancouver, and later in Los Angeles.
After a decade in the fast-paced production world, she decided to return to the Hawaiian Islands. It was back on Maui that she met her now husband, and decided to revisit her real estate roots. Life has now come full circle, and she is elated to once again have a real estate career and family on Maui.
